Rohit Sharma tops ICC's list of special batsmen; David Warner, Kane Williamson included
Indian opener Rohit Sharma is at number one in the list of special batsmen released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Apart from Rohit Sharma, Australia’s David Warner, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and world champion England’s Joe Root are also in the list.

ICC’s official Twitter handle shared a video with a caption that read, “These five batsmen were pretty special at #CWC19.”
Rohit Sharma was the highest run-scorer of World Cup 2019 as he scored 648 runs including a record-breaking five centuries. Sharma became the second-highest run-scorer for India in a single edition of World Cup after Sachin Tendulkar.
Sharma broke Kumar Sangakkara’s record of scoring the most number of centuries in a single World Cup. Rohit Sharma scored five centuries in the recently concluded World Cup, whereas Sangakkara scored four in 2015 edition of World Cup.
Sharma also broke Sourav Ganguly’s record of most centuries scored by an Indian in a World Cup edition. Ganguly had scored three centuries in the 2003 World Cup that India lost to Australia in the final.
