Ravi Shastri gives strong update over MS Dhoni's cricketing career

India’s World Cup winning skipper MS Dhoni’s future has been the talking point for quite some time now. Not long ago, Dhoni was excluded from the list of Annual Players Contract by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It left a big question mark on the future of MSD as a cricketer.

The fans became very eager to know if he will be featuring in the forthcoming T20I World Cup that is scheduled to take place in Australia. And now, Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has given a strong details over the same.

There were widespread speculations that he might call it a day from international cricket after 2019 World Cup but that certainly did not happen. Dhoni last featured for the men in blue in the semi finals of the quadrennial event against New Zealand.

Following that, the veteran wicket-keeper batsman went on a break. His fans and followers are impatiently waiting to watch their favourite cricketer back in action but there is no accurate information to his comeback.

Indian head coach Ravi Shastri gave an account of the fact that everything over the future of MS Dhoni will be clear after the summing-up of IPL. He is an honest individual, who at no time imposes anything on himself that he is supposed to do.

Shastri stated that he is not conscious if MS Dhoni began with his practice or not. But, if he is passionate about the IPL, then he will definitely come up with heavy preparation. And if he does not feel up to the mark, then he will say good-bye to cricket.

“Exactly what I wanted to ask you. There is IPL coming. Uske baad tum dekho. Everyone will know. He will know, selectors will know, the captain will know seeing him, and more important than anything else he will know. What I’m trying to tell the people is he is the last person to impose himself on anything. You know him. I know him.

“For years, you know that he’s been dead honest when it comes to things of that sort, like when he gave up Test cricket. There was nothing of 100 Tests because he is not the guy who will impose on himself. I don’t know if he started practising as yet or not, but I’m sure if he’s keen on the IPL, everything will come out now and he will be ready. For all you know, he may start the IPL, if he doesn’t feel good he’ll say ‘Thank you very much,’ Ravi Shastri said as quoted by Sportstar.
