Ranveer Singh, who is currently enjoying the success of his film Gully Boy has started preparing for his upcoming film ‘83. The actor shared a picture from his training session on social media, where his is seen preparing with full cricket kit. Ranveer, who will play the role of Kapil Dev in the film and will showcase his biggest achievement of winning the 1983 World Cup.
Ranveer is looking to continue his streak of good performances at the box office and for that he is trying to get into the shoes of Kapil Dev for the film 83. Ranveer was spotted practicing cricket and is training hard to nail his acting in the biographical sports drama. It is reported that Kapil himself his helping Ranveer in the nets to improve his bowling as well as batting skills.

The movie that also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khattar among others and it is speculated that the winning moment will be shot at the Lord’s cricket ground.
The film will be around the India’s win against the West Indies in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. And if reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone will play the role of Ranveer’s onscreen wife in the film. Last year, Ranveer also shared a picture with film director Kabir Khan and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Ranveer also visited the Lord’s Cricket Ground where the final between India and West Indies was played. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film '83, is expected to release on April 10, 2020.
