Pulwama Attack: Here's how Pakistani newspaper 'The Nation' celebrated dastardly attack on CRPF jawans
A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy of 78 vehicles carrying 2,547 soldiers was attacked by a car bomb in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday. More than 40 CRPF jawans were killed and many others were injured. This is termed as the worst attack on Indian soldiers since Uri attack in 2016.
However, a Pakistani newspaper ‘The Nation’ labelled the suspected terrorists as a “freedom fighters.” The newspaper reported the news with a headline, “freedom fighter launches attack, 44 of occupying force killed in IOK.”
The report also stated, “Refusing to bow down to the ever-increasing Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir, the freedom fighters on Thursday struck back hard at the occupational forces when a car bomb ripped through an Indian military convoy killing 44 soldiers.”
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that a strong-reply will be given to the Pakistan based terror outfit ‘Jaish-e-Mohammed. Pakistan has said that Indian government and media are linking the attacks to the country without any investigation.
Meanwhile, CRPF tweeted, “WE WILL NOT FORGET, WE WILL NOT FORGIVE: We salute our martyrs of Pulwama attack and stand with the families of our martyr brothers. This heinous attack will be avenged.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the sacrifices of our Jawans won’t go in vain and have given free hand to security forces, no one will be spared. India have already ended the most favored nation status for Pakistan. India might also hold the process of talks between India and Pakistan over Kartarpur corridor.
