Afghanistan opener and wicket-keeper Mohammad Shahzad slammed 74 runs in just 16 balls to help his team win the match in just 4 overs. Shazad ripped apart the Sindhi bowling attack in the opening encounter of the T10 league.
Shahzad completed his half century off just 12 balls and showcased a remarkable display of brute hitting.
Mohammad Shahzad's amazing knock reminded us of Yuvraj Singh's 56 runs off 16 balls in 2007 T20 World Cup which he hit against England.
Batting first, Shane Watson's Sindhis posted a challenging 94/6 in 10 overs with the help of 20-ball 42 from the skipper. While the Sindhis could easily have piled up a lot more runs on board, none of their batsmen except Watson, managed to reach double-figure mark. Munaf Patel was the best bowler for the Rajputs as he took 20/3 in his two overs.
Rajputs chased down the target of 95 runs in just 4 overs with captain Brendon McCullum and Shahzad posting an opening stand of 96 runs. McCullum scored 21 off just 8 deliveries and was a quiet spectator to Shahzad's brilliance on the other end. 74 runs, 16 balls, six fours, eight sixes, only two singles and no dot balls were Shahzad's incredible numbers at the end of the game.
