MS Dhoni comes out to field without Army insignia on gloves, obeys ICC

The whole world was waiting for India to come out and field today so they can see if MS Dhoni is going to obey the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) order or not. MS Dhoni was caught in a controversy after he was asked by the ICC to change his gloves in the next match. Dhoni came with Indian Army Para forces insignia on his gloves when India played against South Africa in their first World Cup match.

The ICC’s request to BCCI caused a huge controversy in India with some asking India to boycott the World Cup. But MS Dhoni has shown why rules are to be respected, he came out to field with wicket-keeping gloves that have no army symbol on it.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) cited clothing rules and regulations states that it does not permit the display of messages that relate to political, religious or racial activities or causes during an international match.

India is playing against Australia in their second World Cup match and Virat Kohli chose to bat first after winning the toss. Indian batting attack posted a huge total of 352 runs in 50 overs with Shikhar Dhawan scoring a fantastic century. Indian skipper Virat Kohli scored 82 runs off 77 balls, while vice-captain Rohit Sharma scored 57 and Hardik Pandya scored a quick 48 runs.
