Manchester United wishes team India after they thrashed Pakistan in World Cup
English football club Manchester United wished team India after they thrashed Pakistan in World Cup. Manchester United took to their official Twitter handle to congratulate the men in blue after their amazing victory over arch-rival Pakistan.
Manchester United wrote, “@BCCI players @DineshKarthik, @VijayShankar260 and @Yuzi_Chahal visited Old Trafford last week. Congrats on your #CWC19 win over Pakistan on Sunday.” Team India players Vijay Shankar, Dinesh Karthik and Yuzvendra Chahal visited the club’s home stadium Old Trafford before India-Pakistan clash.
Team India humiliated Pakistan in all departments as they won the match by 89 runs (DLS) method. Pakistan was never in the game and at no point they looked that they can win the match. India was asked to bat first after Virat Kohli lost the toss and Indian openers set the stage for India,
Opener KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma notched up 136-run partnership stand, which is also team India’s highest opening partnership against Pakistan in a World Cup match. Rohit Sharma went on to score his 24th ODI hundred and his second in World Cup 2019 as he hit 140 off 113 balls. Sharma became the first Indian opener to hit a century against Pakistan in World Cup and two back-to-back hundred against Pakistan as an opener.
Pakistan failed to chase 336 runs as their batting order collapsed. India handed Pakistan their 7th loss in World Cup history. Pakistan has never defeated India in a World Cup match and Virat Kohli and boys made sure that the 27-year old record stays intact.
