Kapil Dev stated the Virat Kohli has take the game to whole another level. “ Virat Kohli has to go a long way. It is not right to talk about him in the middle of his career. But what he has given to us is unparallel.”
“ Never expected that somebody can come close to Sachin Tendulkar who we think is the ultimate but Kohli has taken the game to a different level,” ANI quoted Kapil Dev.
A stand was named after Virat Kohli at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi, which is now renamed as Arun Jaitley stadium. Kapil Dev further went on to say that whatever is done for Arun Jaitley is not enough as he has done many more for the game of cricket.
“I think whatever they do is not enough as he has done so much for cricket. I personally feel very glad about that, what they are doing, because he has the knowledge about the game. I just want to thank the DDCA,”.
Meantime, Nikhil Chopra former Indian player, who was present at the event, stated: “He(Jaitley) has encouraged cricket open-heartedly. I remember, when ever he got time, he used to come and watch our match in the Ranji Trophy. I think it is a good thing that the stadium is being named after him. He truly deserves it”.
