Jonty Rhodes reacts on missing out as team India's new fielding coach job

Former South Africa cricketer Jonty Rhodes has finally reacted on his rejection as team India’s new fielding coach. The legendary cricketer has said that the current fielding coach R Sridhar must have done well in the interview as he has got experience in that.

Jonty Rhodes said, “Sridhar must have kicked my butt in the interview. My interview wasn't as good as the one with Sridhar because he has been there for the last couple of years. Players have definitely worked with a plan.”

Rhodes applied for team India’s fielding coach job earlier last month but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reappointed R Sridhar as team India’s fielding coach. Apart from Sridhar, bowling coach Bharath Arun also kept his job in the recent shuffle.

Batting coach Sanjay Bangar lost his job to former Indian cricketer Vikram Rathour. While former Mumbai Indians’ physio Nitin Patel was appointed as the new physio of team India. Luke Woodhouse has been appointed as the health and conditioning trainer of team India.

Former New Zealand player Mike Hesson lost marginally lost to Ravi Shastri for team India’s head coach position. Hesson has now been appointed as the director of cricket operations of the Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore.
