IPL is over, India is now worried about two key players before the World Cup 2019

The greatest spectacle in world cricket, the Indian Premier League is over. Mumbai Indians have been crowned the champions for the fourth time and became the most successful team in the league’s history. Now the eyes are on the World Cup 2019, taking place in England and Wales.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already announced team India’s 15-member squad but there are few concerns for the governing body and captain Virat Kohli. All-rounder Kedar Jadhav injured his shoulder during an IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab. He was since ruled out from the league looking at the 50-over tournament. But his injury is a big concern for team India before the World Cup starts.

Virat Kohli-led team India would be hoping for Kedar to recover fully as he is a key member of the team. Kedar can both ball and bat when needed. His unique bowling action has got him many wickets in the past and India was hoping he would do it again in the big tournament. He is a reliable batsman as well, he can build innings and can play big shots when needed.

Another key player team India would be worried about is Kuldeep Yadav. His poor form in the Indian Premier League has been a topic of debate. Yadav is India’s key spinner and the team was hoping to play him in every match, but he is not in good shape as he had his worst IPL season. Kuldeep’s form is a big concern for Kohli and his team before the World Cup.

The tournament will start from May 30 with host England playing against South Africa. India will start their campaign on June 5 against the Proteas. The big match for India is on June 16 against their arch-rival Pakistan. The men in green defeated India in 2017 Champions Trophy finals which took place in England.
