With the festival of cricket IPL 2018 edition around two weeks away. The teams and their players have put their preparations in the top gear. The recent viral video of MS Dhoni practising in the nets is a testimony of the hard work players are putting in to justify the trust, their franchises have displayed in them. While CSK will be making a return after two long years in the cricket league, the competition is going to really heat up with the two times champion pulling up its socks.
And speaking of preparations, Wriddhiman Saha, who will ply his trade for the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018, seems to have got his preparations going underway really well.
Wriddhiman Saha, who was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 5 crore in the 2018 IPL auction, hit an amazing 20-ball 102-run knock for his team Mohun Bagan in a JC Mukherjee Trophy match against BNR Recreation Club in Kalighat.
Saha, opening the innings with skipper Subhomoy Das who hit (43* off 22) was in outstanding form, hitting as many as 14 maximums and four fours to complete his amazing knock.
"I could feel from the first ball that I was able to hit the ball in the middle and I went for it," Saha, who loves to open the batting in limited overs cricket, told reporters after the match.
"Not sure of this being a record, but looking into the IPL, I tried to play different shots and it worked."
Notably, Saha is the first and only player so far to score a century in an IPL final.
