This year IPL auction has shuffled various players in the various teams of IPL, while some of the players retained by the team. In the list, there were some players who were remained unsold. One of the famous player West Indies Chris Gayle, who was bought by Kings XI Punjab when no one was ready to purchase him.
Because of his previous performances, no one was ready to purchase him but finally, KXIP purchased him in IPL auction. Everyone’s eyes are on Chris Gayle in this season that how would he played. Well, it’s wrong to say that Gayle has proved himself in the last match with his blistering knock of 104 runs on 63 balls. His mindblowing scores helped the team to win the third match in the IPL tournament 2018.
Later, Gayle has received the man of the match and he expressed gratitude to the team mentor Virender Sehwag and thankful to him for taking him in his team. It was his first century for the team at PCA Stadium, Mohali. He proved himself to others who are hating him and having no trust in his performance.
Earlier in 2011, Chris Gayle was a part of Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) to 2017. RCB has released him this year and he was remained unsold on the first day during the auction.
Well, KXIP owner Preity Zinta along with team mentor Virendra Sehwag decided to keep Chris in their team for Rs 2 crore.
