IPL 2018, DD vs MI: First Innings match report, Mumbai hits 194 runs
Mumbai has posted a challenging 194 runs on the score board that will be difficult if not impossible to surpass.
Mumbai started their innings in the most ferocious way with Suryakumar and Lewis taking the score past 100 before 10 overs. Delhi's bowling efforts proved futile when it came to troubling the Mumbai Indians. There was a time when it seemed that even a score was 250 was not far Rohit's power hitters. However, as the score reached 109/2 after the fall of the openers there came a series of downfalls.
Later, with Shami and Trent bowling wicket to wicket and following the disciplined approach put the bell into kitten's neck.
Rohit Sharma could not do much with his bat and went down for a paltry score of 18 runs off 15 balls. The explosive batsman went down without adding a single run to the scoreboard. However, Ishan Kishan impressed with his 44 runs power knock off just 23 balls.
Shami could not do much with the ball today and gave 9 runs an over. Glenn Maxwell was the best in terms of economy with not so good run rate of 7 runs per over. Trent Boult although spent most runs but was also the highest wicket-taker. Mohammad Shami delivered most dot balls at 10.
