Former West Indies captain Darren Sammy, who is currently in Pakistan to attend the official kit-launch of Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi. Sammy was so overwhelmed by the love he received from his Pakistani fans that he took to his official Twitter handle to share a picture of him in Pakistan.
The 35-year-old shared a picture with the caption, “‘United we stand divided we fall’ Love makes the world go round. Nothing but love for the people of Pakistan #ClarasBoy #AspireToInspire” on which an Indian troll commented, “They are terrorists” to which Darren replied, “get off my page.”
Sammy who leads his side Peshawar Zalmi in Pakistan Super League is very vocal about bringing cricket back to Pakistan. Except for few teams, most have refused to play in Pakistan since the horrendous attack on Sri Lankan team that took place in 2009.
The fourth edition of Pakistan Super League will start from February 14 and the 30 match tournament will be played in UAE. The final four match or the play-offs will be held in Pakistan.
