India vs New Zealand: Virat Kohli have the ability to become the greatest, believes this Kiwi star

After being dethroned by South Africa from the top spot in One Day International ICC ranking, men-in-blue led by Virat Kohli will try their hardest to whitewash New Zealand in three match bilateral series in India to gain the top spot again.

The bilateral series between India and New Zealand will start from 22 October in Wankhede Mumbai. Ahead of the series the former Kiwi skipper Luteru Ross Poutoa Lote Taylor, who is commonly known as Ross Taylor, speaks highly of Indian skipper.

Indian cricket team have always been blessed with the top class batters, be it the 'god of cricket' Sachin Tendulkar or former Indian all-rounder Kapil Dev. It seems Indian skipper Virat Kohli is next who is going to join this elite club.

The 28-year-old cricketer made his debut in International debut for India in ODI the same year he started playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the first edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The star player of New Zealand was also a part of the RCB in the year 2008, so the Kiwi batter knows Kohli's ability more than anyone.

While talking to India today the Kiwi star said, "Look I have enjoyed watching Virat grow and have followed his progress from the young player of 2008 for RCB to the player he is now. Him and (Kane) Williamson are very similar. Batsmen who ask questions at a very young age and you can see the class at very young age.".

"To see him where he is today and the consistency he has and now with the added responsibility of captaining the country, that he has taken with both hands. I am sure for the next however long he wants to play, he will be one of the best players of all time to have played the game. Which is high praise for a player of his age," The cricketer further added.

The three-match series between India and New Zealand will start on 22 October in Wankhede Mumbai.
