In the holy month of Ramadan, under the leadership of Virat Kohli’s deputy Ajinkya Rahane, India is set to lock horns with Afghanistan in the historic one-off Test match at Bengaluru tomorrow 14th June.
If Mujeeb Ur Rahman is selected in the team then he will become the first player to be born in the 21st century to play Test cricket. Rahman will also become the sixth player since 1900 to make his first-class debut in a Test match.
In the historic battle against Afghanistan many record will break and blue tigers are ready to show cast their talents put their all possible efforts to beat India in their home.
It will be the most glittering moment for the Afghanistan as they will play their maiden historic test match in the red ball format. Afghanistan struggled, they have waited and finally, Test cricket will have a new nation.
India will be part of a team’s maiden Test for the fourth time. Previously, India alresdy hosted Bangladesh, Pakistan and Zimbabwe’s maiden Test. At home, this will be the 2nd such occasion for India. India's first such instance came way back in 1952 when they hosted Pakistan’s debut Test in Delhi.
They have all possible options and strong spin department - left-arm wristspinner bowler in Zahir Khan, mystery spinners in Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan's leg spin, conventional finger spinners and all-round options in Mohammad Nabi and Amir Hamza.
