India Tour Australia: Cricket Australia says India is ignoring the future of the game after BCCI refuses to play day-night test matches

India is going to tour Australia in the coming winters in the month of November. The tour will consist of T20I, ODIs and Test matches. The tours to Australia have always been difficult and challenging for India and yet they are most interesting ones.

While the country has been arrested in the IPL fever, There have also been a lot of talks around the upcoming Australian tour and one thing that is being discussed widely is the use of the Pink ball in the test matches and the organization of day-night test matches. While India has refused to play with the pink-ball, Australians seem to be adamant on their wish.

Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland said Wednesday that India's refusal to play a day-night test during the series is because they are desperate to win against the Australian cricket team.

"I think personally the home country should have the right to schedule matches as it sees fit and start them at whatever time of day they want," Sutherland told SEN Radio.

However, Committee of Administrators chief Vinod Rai has said "I don't think BCCI's stand will change. As it has already been decided, Day/Night pink ball matches will continue at the first-class level. Duleep Trophy will be played under lights once again."

Rai added that BCCI's difference of opinion from that of Cricket Australia does not at all imply that the two bodies are on a collision course.

Rai added, "I don't see this as a reason for friction (between boards). Playing condition is something that both the boards sit and decide upon. Obviously, whatever happens, is agreed mutually. But let me make it clear once again, there won't be any pink ball Test involving India,".

The day-night tests are a regular feature in Australia's home matches since 2015.

Sutherland went on to say that India are only focussed on "winning the series" rather looking at future of the game.

To this, A senior BCCI official has said "Obviously, we want to beat Australia in Australia and what's wrong in it? If they can strategise how easily they can beat us, we will look after our interests. The BCCI has never been convinced about the quality of pink kookaburra balls,".

India will tour Australia for three T20Is, four Tests, and three ODIs from November 21 to January 19.
