Today the team India is playing their 3rd ODI against team Australia in Ranchi, the hometown of MS Dhoni. In the match, you would have definitely seen team India players are wearing army caps to support and show their stand in Pulwama terror attack. The whole social media is appreciating this action of team India and what they are doing to show the world of cricket that they are totally against terrorism.

Now the latest developments suggest that the team India has taken a big step for the Indian army and the martyr families those lost their respective soldiers in the Pulwama terror attack. Virat Kohli during the toss said that everyone should contribute towards the National Defence Fund so that the money could help the welfare of the families of martyr soldiers.

 

“This is a special cap, it’s a tribute to the Armed forces. We’re all donating our match fees of this game to the National Defence Fund. I urge everyone in the country to do the same, donate and stick to the families of our armed forces,” Kohli said during the toss.

 

The former captain and current team India wicket-keeper MS Dhoni who also holds the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in Indian Army handed the Army caps to teammates. BCCI shared a video of MS Dhoni sharing those army caps.

The playing XI of the team India will get around 8 lakh fees for this match and the players will donate their half fees to the army welfare fund. Earlier the BCCI already has taken a step by donating the opening ceremony money to families of martyr families.
