CWC 2019: Game changers, Indian players who can make difference in World Cup
India will go face to face with Afghanistan on Saturday in the ongoing edition of ICC World Cup. Taking current form into consideration, India is yet to lose a match and will certainly start as favourites over their South Asian neighbours.
With two centuries and a fifty, Rohit Sharma is uneqivocally the danger man for team India, with his recent run of form in the World Cup, he is the man Afghanistan needs to be wary of and get him out as early as possible.
After a dismaying performance against South Africa where he scored only 18 runs, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has knocked two half centuries in his last two matches. But struggling Afghanistan side could be the team he has been looking to get one of those hundreds and get closer to Sachin Teldulkar's 20,000 runs mark.
Hardik Pandya who has already shown his hitting skills in the tournament may prove to be a jem for the men in blue, he also displayed a brilliant performance with the ball against Pakistan where he took two back to back wickets. India will be hoping for Pandya to continue the same run of form against Afghanistan.
Facing Bhumrah in his top form is a tough ask, even for the best batsmen around the world and the Afghanistan batsmen are going through wringer now, as they look to play out Bhumrah without much damage. But that may be too tough a task for them.
