In the finals of the Under-19 World Cup, Team India's opener Manjot Kalra, with a brilliant century, helped the Indian cricket team to lift the trophy. He completed his century in 101 balls. In his century, Kalra smashed 3 sixes and six fours.

Kalra also played a magnificent 47 against Pakistan in the semi-final of the Under-19 World Cup and played a key role in winning the team India. Not only this, Kalra has scored more than 350 runs in this Under-19 World Cup tournament.

Kalra is the only Indian player in the Indian team to play under-19 World Cup final. He lives in Azadpur Mandi, Delhi. His father Praveen Kumar is a businessman. Manjot's mother wanted him to study and to move forward in his life on the same basis.

Manjot's father revealed an interesting fact about him saying that Manjot was a bright student in studies so we thought he would go ahead in studies. At the same time, his elder brother was more interested in cricket. Manjot used to play matches with his elder brother.

In auction of IPL 11, Manjot sold at his base price for 20 lakh rupees. He was bought by Delhi Daredevils. A controversy arose after Manjot's involvement in Team India under-19. There were allegations that Manjot could not play in the World Cup because his age is more than 19 years. However, all allegations proved wrong and Manjot did not have any problem in joining the team.
