The International Cricket Council (ICC) posted a sketch of Indian skipper Virat Kohli ahead of India versus South Africa clash. The illustration has Virat Kohli seated on a throne with a bat in one hand and a ball in the other. Behind Virat Kohli a board is hanging with their two World Cup win dates.
The image also shows Virat Kohli’s one-day international ranking with ICC logo on his cloak. While fans praised ICC’s gesture, few users were confused with the picture as they felt it looks like KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma more than Virat Kohli.
One Twitter user wrote, “Looks more like KL Rahul than Virat Kohli.” Another user wrote, “Why the Rohit Sharma look?” A Twitter user also compared the picture with Virat Kohli’s unborn son, “KL Rahul and Virat Kohli's son?”
India is playing South Africa in their first World Cup match in Southampton today. Virat Kohli and company will look to win their first match as a confidence booster whereas South Africa would want to win the match as well because they have lost their first two matches.
