Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has become a key player for his side in recent past and his contribution to the team is worth appreciating. Hardik has been a regular in team India’s line-up ever since he made his debut in January 2016.
Hardik Pandya, who is part of team India’s 15-member squad for World Cup 2019 shared a throwback picture of himself with some friends celebrating 2011 World Cup win. He also shared a selfie with former India skipper MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan and Jasprit Bumrah.
Hardik took to his official Twitter account to share the picture. Hardik wrote, “From cheering and celebrating India’s World Cup triumph in 2011 to representing #TeamIndia in World Cup 2019, it has been a dream come true.”
Hardik was picked for India’s World Cup squad as a key all-rounder. Hardik has been playing for the Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians since 2015 and was picked up from there in 2016. He has won three titles for his club since then and also played a crucial role in Mumbai’s 2019 title win.
Hardik was called back mid-tour from Australia earlier this year after he along with KL Rahul was surrounded by controversy over a TV show appearance. Hardik passed some sexist comment in the show and banned for few matches. Hardik then made his comeback in the New Zealand tour.
