Hanuma Vihari says Virat Kohli is an inspiration for youngsters
Indian cricketer Hanuma Vihari who was part of the recently concluded Test series against West Indies has some good things to say about his captain Virat Kohli. Hanuma Vihari said Virat Kohli is an inspiration for youngsters.
“He (Kohli) sets an example -- on the field and off the field, with the work ethic he has. He is an inspiration in the dressing room, especially for youngsters. We look at him as an idol and someone who we can follow,” Hanuma Vihari was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
Hanuma Vihari scored his maiden Test century in the second match against West Indies. Vihari batted at No.6 became the first Indian cricketer since Sachin Tendulkar to score a century and a fifty in the same innings. Sachin achieved the feat in 1990.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli also had some good things to say about the 25-year old batsman. Kohli said the dressing room is more relaxed when Hanuma is out in the middle.
With 289 runs in two matches, Vihari was the top-scorer for India as Kohli & Co. registered 2-0 Test series win over West Indies in the Caribbean.
