Good news for Sunrisers Hyderabad! David Warner slams century after returning from elbow injury

Banned Australian cricketer David Warner slammed a sensational century after returning from an elbow injury. Warner achieved this feat for his local club, Randwick-Petersham, when he hit a blistering 110 off 77. Warner picked an elbow injury while playing in he Bangladesh Premier League and had to leave the tournament mid-way.

Warner and his teammate Steve Smith were banned after the ball-tampering scandal hit Cricket Australia. They were found guilty of tampering with ball in a Test match against South Africa and was banned for a year after they accepted their mistake. Their ban will expire on March 28 this year and both of them are set to return through the Indian Premier League after their nation selectors confirmed that they will not play the series against Pakistan.

Warner is expected to return in world cricket through the Indian Premier League with his teammate Steve Smith. Warner plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Smith for Rajasthan Royals in the cash rich tournament. After returning from the ban both of them will face each other in their first match on March 29. Warner and Smith are captain of their respective sides in the IPL and Warner have even won a title for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016.

The dates for 2019 edition of Indian Premier League has been announced by the organisers. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will play Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opener on March 23 in Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium.

However, the dates announced are only for first seventeen matches, where each team will play a minimum of 4 matches each while Delhi and Bangalore will play five matches. Every team will play two away and two home matches with Delhi playing three home matches and Bangalore playing three away games.
