Entire cricketing fraternity is a huge fan of Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Many iconic cricketers see their old selves in him.
The reason is conspicuous as the 31-year-old is a run machine. The Indian skipper averages over 50 across all formats and is already in the list of new age legends.
Not only the former cricketers but also his contemporaries respect him equally.
Not long ago, Australia skipper Tim Paine had stated that sometimes you just stop and admire the way Virat Kohli goes about his business on the ground. Australian coach Justin Langer had stated that Kohli is the best batsman of this era and others should absorb from him.
Former Pakistan player Javed Miandad, who is well known for hitting a six off the last ball to grab a win from India in 1986, is the latest one to praise the Delhi cricketer.
Javed Miandad on his YouTube channel stated that Virat Kohli is his favourite Indian batsman as he is just too brilliant with his batting.
"He even scored a century on the uneven pitches of South Africa. One can not say that he is afraid of pace or bounce. He can face seam bowling, play on bouncing pitches and also bat against spin. He is just a natural stroke-player, he is even strong enough to hit over the rope."
The other attribute of the Indian skipper which mesmerizes Miandad is his humbleness.
"He is so humble and classy. He is not like other batsmen who would show off after scoring the initial 2 runs, he has a lot of respect for cricket and other cricketers. He respects everyone."
Previously, former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Amir had also expressed their admiration for the Indian skipper.
