England becomes dream nation for batsmen, most 500+ runs scored in single World Cup
The World Cup 2019 final is going on in England and Wales and this edition has become a dream come true for batsmen as most players have scored more than 500 runs in this tournament than any other in the past. From 1975 to 2015 only eight batsmen had scored more than 500 runs in a single edition of World Cup. But in 2019 itself seven cricketers have scored more than 500 runs.
The conditions in England favours batsmen and the players have made the most out of it. This World Cup has seen many records as Rohit Sharma became the first cricketer to hit five centuries in a single edition of World Cup. But Rohit couldn’t break Sachin’s record of most runs scored in a single World Cup.
