Dinesh Karthik talks about rift in KKR dressing room; look at the players involved
Dinesh Karthik the captain of the Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders is not happy with his team-mates. Karthik took the reigns of Kolkata from Gautam Gambhir last year after the latter was bought by Delhi Capitals (Delhi Daredevils formerly).
In a post match interview, Karthik slammed his team-mates and accused them o backbiting. Karthik said that I am aware of the backbiting and other stuff going on in the team.
The rift in Kolkata is now visible as Dinesh Karthik blasted at his team last night as well. During the strategic time out in the first innings when Kolkata was bowling, Karthik was seen saying something very loud while his team-mates stood with flat face.
Before the above mentioned incident took place West Indian all-rounder Sunil Narine expressed his displeasure when Karthik did not give him another over despite bowling well. Robin Uthappa was seen supporting Narine’s displeasure.
Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Kings XI Punjab by 7 wickets as Shubman Gill scored another half-century of the season. Chris Lynn also played well while Punjab bowler were unable to get wickets at regular intervals.
Batting first, Punjab posted a total of 183-6 as openers Chris Gayle and KL Rahul couldn’t do much with the bat. Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran and Sam Curran were the batsman who contributed with their bat. Sam Curran hit his first IPL fifty, while Pooran who was called in place of David Miller scored 48 off 27.
