Cricket to be included in the Olympic Games? Here are the details

The former explosive Indian opener Virender Sehwag has recently given the 'mantra', with the help of which Cricket could be included in the Olympic games. In the year 1990, Cricket was played in the Olympic games. The year 1990 was the first and last time when cricket was a part of the Olympic.

Now the International Cricket Council (ICC) is trying to get cricket involved in the Olympic games by 2024. While talking about Cricket in the Olympic games the former Indian opener Virender Sehwag said that Cricket can only be a part of the Olympic games if more countries will play the game. Currently, 105 countries are the member of ICC but only 12 countries are its full member (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, England, Australia, Sri Lanka, West Indies, New zealand, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, and Ireland ).

Sehwag said at the launch of Saint Maurice Ice Cricket, I think the ICC has to decide about cricket's future in the Olympics. ICC should convenience more countries for playing cricket. So that cricket could be an Olympics. For participating in Olympics 12 countries (full members) are not enough. For adding more countries to this game one has to take Cricket to the places and countries it is not played.
