Chris Gayle shocks the world again with change of plan, will play ODIs against India

West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle who said that he will retire from international cricket after the World Cup 2019 is over has changed his plans. The Caribbean superstar recently said that he will play the Test and ODI series against India and then he will think about it.

“It's still not the end. I still have a few games to go. May be another series to go, as well. Who knows, we will see what happens. My plans after World Cup? I may play a Test match against India and then I will definitely play the ODIs against India. I won't play the T20s. That's my plan after the World Cup,” Gayle in the media session said.

West Indies skipper Jason Holder was surprised with Gayle’s comment and said that he didn’t say anything in the dressing room. “I just found out as well, guess I have to go downstairs and have a serious conversation,” Holder laughed.

Gayle also said there is no doubt that is is one of the greats of West Indies cricket. And he is up there in the list. Gayle, who made his international debut in 1999 has played 291 ODIs and 103 Test matches. He has accumulated 10,222 runs in ODI cricket and 7,214 runs in Test cricket since his debut. He is only the second batsman from West Indies to score more than 10,000 runs in ODI cricket after Brian Lara.
