Brian Lara picks his favorite team to win the World Cup 2019

The 2019 Cricket World Cup has commenced with no Asian team on top four of the points table. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan all of them lost their first match against their respective opponents. India is yet to play their first match against South Africa on June 5 that might change the Asian perspective as they look a very strong team on paper.

Former West Indies superstar Brian Lara picked up his favorite team to win the World Cup in 2019. Lara feels that India is the best team in the tournament lift the cup. Lara backed Virat Kohli-led team India as they got potent batting attack and a good bowling line-up.

Lara said, “I believe India might be the best team in terms of the ability to go throughout the tournament – the variation they have in their bowling, the outstanding batting they have so my pick will be that India will make it through to the final.”

When asked about West Indies he said that they are the dark horse of the tournament. They are not in my top four but if they get into the semi-finals – teams are going to be scared as they have some very talented and destructive players.
