Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a video of Indian captain Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri on micro blogging-site Twitter. In this video, Kohli who was batting on the field, was seen making gestures towards coach Ravi Shastri. It is believed that both were supposed to declare the inning with their 'sign language'.
And now the Indian board has intervened in the matter asking people the meaning of these gestures between Kohli and Shastri. India is playing a Test series against Sri Lanka and the first match between India and Sri Lanka was draw.
Although there were some of the overs left of the day, but due to bad light the match got abandoned. During the fourth inning, Sri Lankan batsmen also tried their best to waste time. This led to the umpires warning them, but finger later also raised on Indian captain Virat Kohli. Cricket experts argued that if Kohli did declare the innings early, then Indian team could have won the match.
With this video, the BCCI has written a caption in which the board is asking the game lovers about the discussion between Kohli and Shastri. At that moment, Kohli was batting on 86 and was only 14 runs away from his century. And now fans have expressed different responses to the gesture between Kohli and Shastri.
