Ball-Tampering Scandal: Ashwin and Gambhir come in strong support, seek relief for Australian-trio
Steve Smith was awarded the best ICC test batsman for the year 2017. The things have taken a sharp turn in the last week since the ball-tampering fiasco has surfaced. The story has since then taken shape in a way that has cost the Australian Skipper and Vice-captain both their jobs for one year. Cameron Bancroft has also been banned by Cricket Australia for a period of 9 months.
There have been all sorts of reactions coming on the issue. Where the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has termed the decision to ban the players for one year right, the likes of Shane Warne have termed the decision to be too harsh.
Some of the Indian players, however, have come out in full support of the Australian-trio involved in the ball-tampering saga including Ashish Nehra, Ravichandran Ashwin and Gautam Gambhir as well.
In a comment recently made by Sachin Tendulkar. The batting legend has urged people to spare some space for the Australian-trio involved in the match-fixing. Gautam Gambhir and Ravichandran Ashwin have strongly come in support of Steve Smith and other Australian Players taking it to Twitter to defend Smith, Warner and Bancroft.
