After Test series loss, Australia becomes nostalgic, to bring back 1980s era with their green and gold jersey
Australian Cricket team are going retro for the ODIs against India. The team will wear a green and gold jersey for the three-match ODI series. The same pattern dress was last used by the Australian team in 1980s. The jersey looks really cool as they bring back the old memories of the 80s with the pattern similar to the old ones.
Australia and India will play a three-match ODI series starting from January 12 in Sydney. Mitchell Marsh is unwell and will not play for Australia, Ashton Turner will replace him for the ODIs. For India, Jasprit Bumrah is kept out of the team and Mohammad Siraj, Siddharth Kaul, Khaleel Ahmed is back for the ODIs. MS Dhoni too will replace Rishabh Pant as India’s wicket-keeper.
Earlier in the month, India won the four-match Test series against Australia to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, hence India became the first Asian team to win a Test series in Australia. In 71-years of India’s Test cricket history, this was the first time India won a Test series in Australia.
Cheteshwar Pujara for India played an amazing Test cricket and bagged the player of the match award. Pujara smashed a total of 521 runs in 7 innings with 3 centuries in total. Jasprit Bumrah and Nathan Lyon were the joint highest wicket-taker in the series with total of 21 wickets each.
