Indian skipper Virat Kohli bowled a couple of overs in a practice match played between India and Cricket Australia XI. Kohli bowled two overs and gace just six runs. Kohli also took a wicket of Australian batsman Nielsen when he was at 100 off 168 balls.

Kohli himself couldn't believe that he pulled off a wicket from his over. Australian batsman Nielsen also appreciated Kohli after the wicket, Nielsen tapped Kohli's shoulder.

On the second day of the practice match 19-year-old Prithvi Shaw was injured and ruled out from the Adelaide Test. Shaw injured himself while taking a catch at the boundary when he landed on his ankle and was carried out off the field by the Indian team's physio Patrick.

India and Australia will play a four-match Test series starting from December 6 in Adelaide, Australia. India is currently playing a practice match against Cricket Australia XI, where Virat Kohli, Prithvi Shaw and three other batsman scored a fluent half-century.

Earlier this month, India and Australia played a T20I series that was levelled at 1-1. Australia won the first match of the series by 4 runs (DLS method), second match was abondoned due to rain and India won the third match by six wickets, where Virat Kohli played a match winning strike and made 61 runs of 41 balls.
