AB de Villiers' former team-mate to join RCB and help them win their first IPL match
South African pacer Dale Steyn might join his former team-mate AB de Villiers in Royal Challengers Bangalore squad for the Indian Premier League season 12. The South African speedster went unsold in the IPL auction held in December last year but if reports are to be believed he might join in RCB for the world’s richest league.
Steyn on Thursday posted a picture of his passport with an Indian visa on it with a caption, “Ahhh, what’s this little surprise.” Many media reported, including the Times of India that Dale Steyn will join the struggling RCB squad for IPL 2019.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is the most unsuccessful team of Indian Premier League and have not shown any interest in winning it yet again. They are sitting at the bottom of the points table as they have not won a single match this season and have zero points to their name.
Dale Steyn would be looking forward to join the team in the IPL as it would benefit him financially. Meanwhile South Africa cricket will be in dilemma and concern about Dale playing in IPL as his fitness matters for the upcoming cricket World Cup. Steyn recently became the highest wicket taker for South Africa in Test cricket as he broke Shaun Pollock’s record.
