2nd T20I: Embattled Proteas face a must-win situation against India

It is evident that every player goes through periods when you have slumps, and it doesn't matter if you’re a senior experienced player or a new guy.

After winning the ODI series 5-1, India won the first of three T20Is by 28 runs after Bhuvneshwar Kumar's excellent performance where he took a five-wicket haul to wrap up the South Africans for well below their target. Although it seems like that the Men in Blue are planning to wrap up this series by winning this match tonight.

We all know that this second T20 is a must-win game for the Proteas if they still want to stay in the series against India. The wounded South African team would be fighting this survival when the two sides clash in the series-deciding second Twenty20 International this Wednesday.

When we talk about cricket, T20 is the most unpredictable format of the game where things can change anytime even in just two-three deliveries. However, Indian team operates in such a manner that they are capable of even dominating the T20 opener.

The prospective 3-0 series win would also help India climb up the ICC T20I Rankings and take up the second spot behind Pakistan. However, if Australia beat New Zealand in the T20 tri-series final (on Wednesday as well), India would stay on in their current third position.

Team India: Virat Kohli (capt), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Jaydev Unadkat, Shardul Thakur.

Team South Africa: JP Duminy (capt), Farhaan Behardien, Junior Dala, Reeza Hendricks, Christiaan Jonker, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), David Miller, Chris Morris, Dane Paterson, Aaron Phangiso, Andile Phehlukwayo, Tabraiz Shamsi, Jon-Jon Smuts.

The only time India have lost a T20 against South Africa was in South Africa in March 2012, in Johannesburg.
