Adarsh Charitable Foundation provides relief work in flood affected regions of Rajasthan, Gujarat
Heavy rains lashed misery across various parts of India; many states were reeling under heavy floods. Rajasthan and Gujarat were among the states which were badly affected by the floods. Adarsh Charitable Foundation, philanthropic arm of Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. is carrying out the relief work in the flood affected regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
"It is a difficult time in flood affected regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat and we are providing relief materials and medical aid to the people affected by the floods. We are constantly in touch with our volunteers of Adarsh Charitable Foundation to ensure there is no shortage of relief materials. We also offer condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and pray that the flood situation normalises soon," said Mukesh Modi, Founder, Adarsh Charitable Foundation.
"Adarsh Charitable Foundation is providing food supplies and clean drinking water to the people in the flood affected regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Chartered Helicopters are being hired to dispatch food packets to all the flood affected regions in Sirohi and Jalore. Volunteers of Adarsh Charitable Foundation are working round the clock in providing relief materials in the flood affected regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat," added Rahul Modi, MD, Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje personally telephoned Mukesh Modi, Founder, Adarsh Charitable Foundation and appreciated the work done by Adarsh Charitable Foundation for the flood victims in Jalore and Sirohi region of Rajasthan.
As part of the relief support, Adarsh Charitable Foundation has distributed 25000 food kits in Sirohi and 2000 tents and 500 blankets were also distributed among the flood victims. 10000 food packets were distributed in Jalore. Food packets were also distributed with help of helicopters in the villages of Sanchor, Bhinwal and Raniwada in Jalore district. Adarsh Charitable Foundation also distributed 21000 food packets in Banaskantha district of Gujarat.
Apart from this, 15000 sukdi packets, 80000 water pouches and 3000 milk containers were distributed to all flood affected areas of Gujarat with the help of the local administration.
Adarsh Charitable Foundation also organised health camps in Banaskantha region. Medical relief camps were organised in Dhanera and Jasra villages and 400 medicines were distributed free of cost to the flood victims.
Adarsh Charitable Foundation is supplying raw food material pack in the various flood affected regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Each raw food material pack weighs 18 kgs and it consists of 10 kg wheat flour, 1 kg mixed dal, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg salt, 1 Ltr mustard oil, 250 grams tea powder, 250 grams pack consisting of chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric and packet of mixed pickle.
The helicopters are also being hired by Adarsh Charitable Foundation for helping the floods victims with food supplies and clean drinking water in Jalore and Sirohi. This is for the first time in India that a charitable foundation has hired helicopter's to distribute the flood relief materials.
The motto of Adarsh Charitable Foundation has always been centered on selfless service for the humanity and Adarsh Charitable Foundation will always continue to extend support to poor and the needy.
