Vistara announces special Women's Day sale, fares start from Rs 1,099

Air India Express, Vistara, SpiceJet Ltd and Air India Ltd are among the airlines whose flights will feature an all-women crew on Thursday to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Eight international flights of Air India Express would be operated with an all-women crew. “All women-crew flights will take off from Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Mangalore, Mumbai and Delhi on Thursday,” the airline said in a release.

Functions are also being organized at all its offices to felicitate the women workforce, which is about 40% of its total employees, it added. Air India Express is the budget arm of Air India.

Full-service airline Vistara said it would operate select flights with all-women crew besides priority boarding for all women travelers and celebratory sale of tickets, among others.

Budget carrier SpiceJet would operate three special flights with all women cockpit and cabin crew on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Air India had said it would operate flights with the all-women crew to various international and domestic destinations, including New York and Singapore.

Domestic airline Vistara has announced a special one-day sale to commemorate Women's Day. The airline is offering all-inclusive fares starting at Rs 1,099. The sale is available only for 24 hours- from 00:01 hours to 23:59 hour- on March 8, 2018 (today), for travel between March 16, 2018, and October 10, 2018.

"This Women’s Day, we are delighted to announce a special celebratory sale with fares starting at Rs.1,099/- in Economy class, Rs.2,799/- in Premium Economy and Rs. 7,999/- in Business Class (inclusive of taxes and fees)," the airline owned by Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines said on its website.
