After this cut, petrol went down to Rs 70.55 per liter and diesel at Rs 65.09 per liter in Delhi on Sunday. According to the exclusive information received by CNBC Awaz, in the next 2 to 3 days, the government can announce increase in excise duty on petrol and diesel. The government can increase excise duty up to 2 rupees per liter. Let us tell you that in October, the government had cut the excise duty by 1 rupee per liter to reduce petrol-diesel price.
