As the year draws to an end and it's time to look back at the year 2021 which has given us lots of surprises and shocking news as well. This year, we have witnessed many big fat weddings in the entertainment industry like Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dala to Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal.

Besides, the year has also left us shocked after some famous celebs couple decided to part their ways after spending many years together.

1. Aamir Khan And Kiran Rao

The most shocking divorce news of the year was of Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, who ended their 15-year-old marriage. The couple released their separation news in a joint statement in July 2021. However, they have stated that they will continue to be connected as a co-parents.

2. Honey Singh and Shalini Singh

Another divorce case left many eyebrows raised when Shalini Singh, the wife of singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh made serious allegations against him. She accused him of domestic violence and adultery which lead to their divorce in August 2021. Honey Singh's wife also alleged his multiple extramarital affairs.

For the unversed, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shalini were the childhood sweethearts and they had tied the knot on January 23, 2011.

3. Shikhar Dhawan and Aesha Mukerji

Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and Aesha Mukerji have also divorced after eight years of marriage this year. The couple made the official announcement of their separation in an Instagram post in September 2021. Shikhar and Aesha got married in 2012 and have a kid named Zoravar. While Aesha Mukerji is a Melbourne native who used to be a boxer.

4. Nisha Rawal And Karan Mehra

Television star couple Nisha Rawal and Karan Mehra, who used to be an inspiration for many couples, left everyone in shock after they announced their separation news. They got married in 2012 but reports suggested that their married life was not working well and they decided to part ways. However, they made serious allegations on each other.

TV actress Nisha Rawal accused her husband Karan Mehra of domestic abuse and an extramarital affair. On the other hand, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor refuted all the allegations leveled against him and said that his estranged wife orchestrated the entire incident to procure a big amount as alimony.

5. Samantha Ruth And Naga Chaitanya

A popular South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu separated from her husband and Telugu film star Naga Chaitanya in October 2021. The couple got married in 2017 and were the ideal couple for many. When their separation news circulated then their fans came to know that nothing is good between them. Many people claimed that they got separated because Chaitanya might be orthodox and might have imposed restrictions on his then-wife Samantha.
