Today is the birth anniversary of Bollywood legendary actor Sunil Dutt who has given numerous hit films to the Bollywood industry. As we know that every actor or actress has some unknown facts or some secret that remain hidden from the world. But, today, we are going to tell you about the big secret of Sunil Dutt that many of you know about him.

‘Mother India’ is one of the iconic films which was released in 1957. The film is not only popular because of the strong performance of the characters or superb script but also because of the Sanjay Dutt’s father who put his life at risk and become the real hero for his fans. Yes, you read right, during the shooting of Mother India, all of sudden the set was set on fire in which the film actress Nargis Dutt, who played the role of mother of Sunil, was trapped in the flames of fire. To save the actress, Sunil jumped into the fire and saved her from the mouth of death.

After this incident, the friendship between the two actors turned into love. Well, one can’t deny that Mother India is still lived in the hearts of people for the strong performances of the actors and also for its cinematography. However, Sunil Dutt was playing the negative role in the film and at the end of the film, he was killed by his mother Nargis. Besides, playing the negative role, Sunil become the hero on the set for what he did for Nargis.

The fire was raised during the film scene but the scene was not shot at that time perfect as the wind turned its stance and spread badly on the set. Due to which Nargis was trapped in the fire.

After all, efforts made by the actress to save herself. Finally, Sunil Dutt took the charge to save her and without care of his life he took out her from the danger. However, Sunil got several facial injuries, after which he was admitted to hospital.

Well, it was the Mother India that made Sunil and Nargis fall in love with each other and later they tied in a nuptial knot on 11 March 1958.
