When Roadies judge Neha Dhupia faced sexism in South cinema; here’s what she revealed
Last seen in Helicopter Eela also starring Kajol, Neha Dhupia has faced many obstacles since her starting of career. Former Miss India started her career from South India cinema industry as a child artist in 1994 in a Malayam film and since then she has completed a decade and a half in the entertainment industry.
The 39-year-old actress in an interview revealed some of her dark memories from the South Indian film industry where she faced sexism in South. She said, “Long time back when I was doing a South film, they always insisted on feeding the hero first and I would just be like ‘I am hungry’ and they would be like, ‘But he is in a shot and he will pick up the plate first’. Bizarre things like that would happen.”
She further added that she did not bother as she was fine with it and was like “I’ll just sit around.” Meanwhile, Neha is now married to actor Angad Bedi and together they have a daughter Mehr Dhupia Bedi.
While she has given amazing films such as Paying guest, Heyy Baby, Shootout at Lokhandwala among others. The actress has also hosted her own reality show BFFs with Vogue.
