Vidya Balan on Sridevi’s biopic; “It requires guts but I will do it”

Kahani actress Vidya Balan is known for her acting as well for her choice, she is one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood. Recently at a TV show, she was asked if she is offered the biopic of Sridevi what will be her reaction to this Vidya replied that its a tough job it requires lots of guts but she will do it if someone approaches her. She also added that she is a legend but to pay her tribute I will do her biopic, it will be a great honour to Vidya. In her last movie Tumhari Sulu through a song Hawa Hawai she paid tribute to her, originally this song was picturised on Sridevi in Mr India alongside Anil Kapoor.

Meanwhile, Vidya is quite experienced in biopics, in Dirty Picture she essayed the role of South Indian actress Silk Smitha on which the movie was based. While recently she played the role of Nandamuri Basava Rama Tarakam in NTR’s biopic.

There are many filmmakers who want to make a biopic on Sridevi one of them was Hansal Mehta who has directed films like Shahid, Aligarh and Omerta planned to make a biopic on Chandani actress and thought of approaching her for this project but he got too late. One asked Mehta on whom he will choose to ace the role without a second thought he said, Vidya Balan.

Sridevi was the first female superstar of Indian Industry to star in 300 films thought out his career.
