Since then the film starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, and Fatima Sana Shaikh has turned out the biggest flop of this year, the B-Town experts have started raising questions on the downfall of Aamir Khan. Actually, this time the question is on all three superstars Aamir, Shah Rukh, and Salman Khan. As all of them have given their last respective films Thugs Of Hindostan, Jab Harry Met Sejal, and Race 3 disasters in their career.
Well, we can expect the mistakes from actors like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan but not with Aamir Khan, who is known to be the Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood. He always has proved that his choice of films is totally different and he has always amazed us with the brilliant films.
However, it should be much early if we will start raising questions on his stardom and his choices because it has happened after 13 years that Aamir Khan has given a disaster film in his career. His last disaster film was actually, Mangal Pandey: The Rising that released in 2005.
Now the interesting thing is that there are many similarities in between both the disaster films of Aamir Khan. So not making it superstitious but these things will surely make you believe that there is something wrong when Aamir Khan does these films.
1. Yash Raj Films - Like Thugs of Hindostan, Mangal Pandey: The Rising was also made under the banner of YRF. At that time Mangal Pandey was one of the most expensive film of YRF like same in the current time Thugs Of Hindostan.
2. Aamir Khan's look (Long hair long moustache) - If you see both the films, Mangal Pandey and Thugs of Hindostan then in both films Aamir Khan sported long hair and long moustache because of period looks.
3. Period Drama - Both the outings, Mangal Pandey and Thug Of Hindostan were actually set in the backdrop of British rule India, where the leading character fight against the Britishers for freedom of India.
4. Two leading actress - Thugs Of Hindostan has Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the leading roles, while in Mangal Pandey: The Rising, Rani Mukerji and Ameesha Patel had played leading roles.
5. Big Hollywood actor in supporting role - Both the films had one Hollywood actor playing a prominent role. In Mangal Pandey, Toby Stephens played Aamir Khan's friend and British commander. While In Thugs Of Hindostan, Lloyd Owen played leading antagonist in the role of a British officer.
