Thappad Trailer Review: Taapsee Pannu's hard-hitting message for women who tolerate violence in married life
Anubhav Sinha released the trailer of his upcoming film Thappad starring Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati. The film narrates the story of a woman named Amu who decides to divorce her husband after he slaps her in front of everyone.
This incident changes their happily married life to worse when Amu decides to file for divorce. Family and friends try to convince her that a slap is just a slap and she should let it go, even her husband apologises to her and pleads her to take him back. However, she stands strong and doesn’t change her decision.
Well, there is not one but two or three stories running beside Taapsee’s story, as shown in the trailer we can see even her lawyer is going through the same phase. After watching the film only we will get to know how many incidents it will unfold.
Sharing the trailer on Instagram Taapsee captioned it as, “Haan bas EK THAPPAD..... par nahi maar sakta!”
A day ago She also shared the poster of her film on her Instagram handle and wrote, “Kya yeh bas itni si baat hai? Kya pyaar mein ye bhi jayaz hai? Yeh #Thappad Ki pehli Jhalak hai #Thappadfirstlook”

The film is helmed by Abhinav who is known for giving hits in this genre such as Article 15 and Mulk. Apart from Taapsee the film also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, Manav Kaul, Ram Kapoor and Tanvi Azmi.
