Telugu Box Office : Duvvada Jagannadham emerges as Allu Arjun's biggest opener

Telugu actor Allu Arjun's Eid release Duvvada Jagannadham released on 23 June. The film, touted to be an action entertainer starred the Telugu actor in dual roles, as a simple Brahmin cook and as a stylish guy.

Directed by Hari Shankar and produced by Dil Raju, Duvvada Jagannadham starred Pooja Hegde in female lead.

Duvvada Jagannadham has opened to good collections on its opening day. An impressive collection was always on the cards thanks to good promotion by the makers. However, the film has exceeded the trade expectation by garnering Rs. 24 crore at the Telugu box office. The film has best fared in Andhra Pradesh where it has minted Rs. 14 crore on the opening day. At Ceeded and Nizam regions, Duvvada Jagannadham has collected Rs. 3.3 crore and 6.7 crore respectively. With these collections, Duvvada Jagannadham has emerged as the career best opener of Allu Arjun. The film unseats the Telugu superstar's previous release Sarrainodu to do so.

Duvvada Jagannadham also marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood cinematographer Ayananka Bose . The film also stars Rao Ramesh, Subbaraju, Tanikella Bharani, and Vennela Suresh.
