Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli take to Twitter to condole demise of Kedarnath actor
Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar expressed their shock over Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing away as cricket fraternity mourned the demise of the actor.
2020 has really been devastating. While Covid-19 pandemic is leading into several deaths across India, the news of Bollywood stars Rishi Kapoor, Irfan Khan and now Sushant Singh Rajput’s death have left the fans shocked, Sushant, known for playing the role of former India captain MS Dhoni in a biopic, also left the cricketers stunned.
"Shocked and sad to hear about the loss of Sushant Singh Rajput. Such a young and talented actor. My condolences to his family and friends. May his soul RIP," Tendulkar tweeted.
"Shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput. This is so difficult to process. May his soul RIP and may god give all the strength to his family and friends," Kohli wrote on Twitter.
Sushant became a favourite of cricket lovers, having done two cricket-based films. His first movie, Kai Po Che, saw him playing the role of a unsuccessful district-level cricketer who coached a Muslim boy and helped him represent India at the international level.
The actor drew the maximum fame when he played the role of MS Dhoni, in his biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Sushant drew huge applause from fans for the way he played the role of Dhoni in the film and portrayed his style of batting with near perfection.
After gaining a lot of fame from Dhoni's biopic, in one of his interviews to Hindustan Times, had revealed that he was a very bad cricketer while growing up while one of his sisters was, in fact, very good.
"I was very bad at cricket when I was growing up. When she would bowl at me, three out of five times, I would get clean bowled. Before she watched the trailer — since I wanted to flaunt — I also sent her all my practise videos. She told me, 'This guy doesn’t look like you.' She is really proud of me," he had said.
Right now, the biggest question remains is why? What made Sushant take such a huge step?
