Sushant Death Case: Vital details leaked to media; Rhea Chakraborty already culprit in public opinion
Who is leaking vital information to the media in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case? WhatsApp chat messages of Rhea Chakraborty, statements of the eyewitnesses, and real-time updates on the moves of investigating agencies are being narrated by news anchors live from the news studios.
This is not a case of investigative journalism but rather media allowing itself to be used by investigating agencies to influence public opinion against Rhea Chakraborty and others accused in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.
Shockingly, one television anchor barged live into the news coverage area with a bag full of papers—mostly printout of Whatsapp Chats of Rhea Chakraborty. Without even knowing full details of the content, the information was being aired for the immediate consumption of the viewers. The content was put out on screen, big claims were made, various theories were narrated, and finally, the accused were further shamed. Not to mention that there was no time to ascertain the veracity of the material or the intention behind sharing in the documents. Of course, no one seems bothered to question the intension of those sharing these crucial details for immediate public consumption.

This is not to surmise that the claims are false and Rhea and others named in Bihar Police FIR are innocent. The problem is media trial being run by even the investigating agencies. All the vital information being shared in the media has been in the possession of investigating agencies—CBI, Enforcement Directorate.
Is all this an orchestrated exercise to put pressure on eyewitnesses and Rhea to accept the version of the investigating agencies? Many may find no fault in the developments as Rhea is already a declared offender thanks to the selected information leaked to the media.
Ideally, Rhea and family should have been grilled on the basis of information collected and efforts should have been made to corroborate statements with evidence. But that may take time and still, the end result may remain elusive for CBI. So, the quick solution is: release the selected information and the public will connect the dots.
Real justice can wait.
