Sushant death case: CBI grills Rhea Chakraborty for more than 10 hours; timeline of probe day 8

On Day 8 (28th August) of investigation, CBI summoned Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. They grilled the siblings separately for more than 10 hours in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Siddharth Pithani, Neeraj and Dispesh Sawant were again quizzed by officials. On the other hand, ED has summoned Gaurav Arya who was allegedly in contact with Rhea in connection with drug supply. They have asked him to appear before ED by August 31.

Here's the timeline of what happened yesterday since morning:

10:01 am:- Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda reaches DRDO guesthouse for questioning.

10:25 am:- Siddharth Pithani reaches DRDO guesthouse

10:39 am:- Sushant's staff Neeraj and Keshav reach DRDO guest house

10:41 am:- Rhea, Showik reach DRDO guesthouse. CBI officials questioned the actress about her relationship with Sushant and the Europe trip which is said to have changed everything in the actor's life.

11:40 am:- Rhea tells CBI officials that she met SSR in 2013 at Yash Raj Office. She states that they had the same manager. However, the duo started dating in April 2019.

12:24 pm:- First Round of Interrogation

According to CBI sources, Adl. SP Nupur Prasad and two other inspectors interrogated Rhea. While a separate team was questioning Rhea's brother Showik

CBI heard Rhea's side of the story. What happened when she left Sushant's home on 8 June? What was the fight, what is the reality of the statement given by the servants and the manager? They also questioned her about Siddarth Pithani's statements.

1:07 pm:- NCB has activated its informer spread across Maharashtra and has asked to gather information finely. The task is given to collect any new or old information related to Rhea, SSR, Showik, Shruti Modi, Jaya Shah, Gaurav Arya or Samuel Miranda.

According to NCB sources, the team is still doing groundwork and have not yet come to the stage of summoning anyone. The NCB officials are not just investigating about Rhea but also about the drug syndicate.

2:00 pm:- After interrogating Siddharth Pithan for a couple of hours, he was taken to the CBI office in Mumbai.

3:29 pm:- ED puts a notice at Gaurav Arya's hotel, The Tamarind in Anjuna, Goa, asking him to appear before the agency before August 31.

5:13 pm:- Jaya Saha gives a statement to ED on drugs angle. She told that she never supplied CBD oil to SSR or Rhea. Rather, Sushant contacted and informed her that he was suffering from depression. So, on that she suggested him to take the CBD oil with tea and coffee for relaxation." She further added that the oil she suggested was completely legal and easily available on shopping portals. "I knew about the oil as I also suffered from depression and used the oil. It helped me calm my mind and relax. It controlled my anxiety disorders."

6:24 pm:- Second Round of Interrogation

Rhea denies destroying hard disks and says she did not call IT professional. Further, she said that she does not know who destroyed 8 hard disks and why.

Rhea said that Sushant's relations with his family were not good, she said that his sisters did not like their relationship. She further told CBI that she had not been in touch with SSR since June 8. Sushant tried to contact her with the help of others but there was no interaction between both of them till June 14.

Sushant's sister Shweta often raised questions on our relationship which is why a lot of fights took place between her and Sushant.

Statements of Siddharth Pithani, Neeraj, Dipesh, and Keshav will be verified.

7:34 pm:- Rhea comes out of the DRDO guest house for a while to collect some stuff and gets inside for interrogation again.

9:12 pm:- Rhea left from the DRDO guest house after 11 hours of strict interrogation.

9:38 pm:- Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty at Santa Cruz Police Station in Mumbai.

9:53 pm:- Mumbai Police escorts Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty to their residence.

Meanwhile, as the interrogation was going on inside DRDO guest house Sushant's sister Shweta leaked some chats exchanged between Rhea, Showik, Samuel, Siddharth Pathani and others. In the leaked images we can see that they all are talking about buying drugs named 'doobie' and 'blueberry kush'.
