Shabana Azmi Car Accident: Truck driver lodges FIR against Bollywood actress’ driver for rash driving

Bollywood’s veteran Shabana Azmi who met with a car accident on Saturday suffered a severe head injury and has sustained minor injuries to her backbone. The actress has been shifted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai from MGM Hospital where she was rushed earlier.

As per ANI reports, truck driver Rajesh Pandurang Shinde has filed an FIR against the actress’ driver Amlesh Yogendra Kamat for rash driving. The tweet read, “An FIR has been registered against Amlesh Kamat, driver of Shabana Azmi in Khalapur on a complaint filed by the truck driver. The FIR reads, 'due to rash driving by the driver, the car hit the moving truck on Pune-Mumbai Expressway which resulted in the accident.”

Javed Akhtar who was also present in the car escaped with minor injuries. As soon as Shabana reached Kokilaben hospital several B-town celebs made their way to meet the actress. Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Shabana’s nice Tabu, Anil Kapoor were seen rushing to the hospital.

Whereas PM Narendra Modi, Arvind Kejriwal, Lata Mangeshkar, Neena Gupta, Himansh Kohli among others prayed for her speedy recovery.
